Platesready help & support
Find quick answers about ordering, pickup, payments, and table booking. Still stuck? Our team is one message away.

What kind of service does Platesready offer?
Platesready is an online platform that connects you with local restaurants for food pickup. You can browse menus, place your order, and pay online, then pick up your meal directly from the restaurant. We also offer table booking tools for restaurants, including optional reservation deposits when a restaurant enables them.
Is there a delivery option?
It depends on the restaurant. Many restaurants on Platesready offer delivery through courier partners (Uber Direct or Trexity) where available, while others are pickup-only. If a restaurant supports delivery, you will see it as an option at checkout along with the delivery fee for your address.
How do I place an order?
Find a restaurant you like on our homepage, browse their menu, and add items to your cart. When you're ready, proceed to checkout to enter your information and pay securely. You'll receive a confirmation and an order tracking link once your payment is complete.
What payment methods are accepted?
We use Stripe to securely process payments. You can pay with all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, and digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay.
How can I track my order?
After a successful payment, you will be automatically redirected to a dedicated tracking page for your order. You'll also receive a confirmation email containing a link to this page, where you can see the status of your order as the restaurant prepares it.
How does the 'pickup time' work?
When you add items to your cart, you can choose to pick up your order 'ASAP' or schedule it for a later time. 'ASAP' uses the restaurant's average preparation time to estimate when your food will be ready. If you schedule your order, you can select a specific day and time that fits the restaurant's operating hours.
Are there any hidden fees for customers?
Platesready is transparent about costs. Our platform is funded by a 5% commission paid by our restaurant partners on their orders, rather than by service fees we add to your total. The subtotal and any applicable taxes shown at checkout are what you pay, plus any tip you choose to add.
How can my restaurant join Platesready?
We'd love to partner with you. Visit our Partner With Us page to submit your application, learn how onboarding works, and see how Platesready's flat 5% commission helps restaurants keep more of every order.
Do you offer table booking for restaurants?
Yes. Platesready includes table booking tools for restaurant partners. Restaurants can accept standard reservations as part of their Platesready plan, and they can also choose to enable optional reservation deposits for selected booking flows.
How does the table booking system work?
Customers pick their preferred date, time, and party size, and restaurants set their available time slots, capacity, and any special requirements. Customers get a confirmation email, restaurants are notified instantly of new bookings, and reminder tools are available. If a restaurant enables reservation deposits, customers see the deposit amount, refund cutoff, and credit-at-the-restaurant policy before they pay.
